Gregory Berry, of Glassboro, was charged with murder, robbery and weapons offenses, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Maple Shade Police Chief Christopher J. Fletcher.

Berry was taken into custody Thursday, April 13 at a residence in West Deptford by the U.S Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. He was being held  in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly.

The investigation began after officers from the Maple Shade Police Department were called to Fox Meadow the evening of Jan. 16, 2022, for shots fired. The victim, Ezekiel Sanders Jr., 32, was found on Gardenia Drive with gunshot wounds and taken by ambulance to Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Bradshaw said.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle sped away from the scene after the victim had been shot.

Berry’s co-defendant, 23-year-old Teon Macklin-Goodwine of Clementon, was charged in June 2022 with murder, robbery and weapons offenses. He was being held in Burlington County Jail.
